About the Roundhouse at Alyeska

The historic Roundhouse was placed on the National Historic Register in 2003. It is operated by Girdwood, Inc, The building restoration and displays were made possible by seed money from the Turnagain Arm Kenai National Heritage Corridor Communities Association. Additional funding was from a combination of public and private money, including the Rasmuson and Atwood Foundations, the National Park Service, HUD and the Eddie Gendzwill estate. Alyeska Resort generously underwrote large parts of this project with extensive on-mountain support and technical expertise.
The Roundhouse welcomes visitors from the community and around the world.  Our Executive Director, Marianne Daniels welcomes visitors with fun and informative programs.
